JDD: Big Welcome to the NHL

performance was godly

performance was godly

This is Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers.

He has a name bigger than the jersey so they had to cut out the Drouin part. He has the size of a Burke but the flexibility of a Garon. His performance against the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils over this Remembrance Day weekend was also so big it was worth sending out a big “welcome to the NHL” to our friend Jeff Deslauries.

Good job, JDD: you were godly.

I nearly creamed my pants when he robbed the last guy on the shootout.Just amazing – 40 saves against NYR and 37 against NJD.

MacT’s new lineup features offense and defense on every line, and though it lacks the scoring punch of the team early in the season – but offers a defensive awareness nearly non-existence in the first 10 games.

Bravo, Oilers. I think we’ve found the winning combination.

God only knows what this means for Garon and Roloson now, but one thing’s for sure: we now know why Kevin Lowe, Steve Tambellini, and Kevin Pendergast are loathe to allow this fish to swim away on waivers.

That’s because JDD’s the real deal.

Hockeyfights FM Leaders Update:

Calgary takes the lead

Calgary takes the lead

Steve MacIntyre made it out of the 2nd toughest NHL division with a broken orbital bone. Lucky him. We hope he comes back soon so he can soldier it out with the Calgary Flames, Vancouver Canucks, and Anaheim Ducks. A surprise on this list is the Colorado Avalanche – but the trend with the Northwest and Atlantic divisions continues.

We’re gonna have to strap ourselves in for the Pacific division road trip …
